Leprous (NO) are returning to Bucharest, this time promoting their seventh studio album “Aphelion”. Mixed by Adam Noble (Placebo, Biffy Clyro, Nothing But Thieves) and mastered by Robin Schmidt (The 1975, Placebo), the album pushes the boundaries of progressive metal, and is a  statement to the band’s individuality and courage for sonic exploration. True to this musical endeavor, Leprous are promising Romanian fans a night to remember.

Answering the call to open this second iteration of “ARTmania Evenings”, will be MONUMENTS (UK)  and KALANDRA (NO). The former began its journey back  in 2007 in the progressive metal scene of the United Kingdom. A series of lineup changes accompanied the band’s sonic evolution, and the past decade saw Monuments perfecting their style and taking their music to new  heights. “In Stasis”, the group’s fourth studio album, is testament to their musicianship and craft, and saw the songwriting involvement of their new vocalist, Andy Cizek.

Hailing from the frozen fjords of Norway, Kalandra (NO) is a spectacular quartet that offers a blend of traditional nordic folk, electronic ambiental and alternative music. HBO streamers and TV fans will recognize their sound, as the band contributed to the soundtrack of nordic sci-fi/drama “Beforeigners”.

ARTmania Evenings began in 2021 as an alternative for the ARTMania Festival, which at the time was on hiatus.. The initiative came from the Festival organizers, who proposed a series of concerts that would be held throughout the year, and that would allow Romania’s rock community to stay connected and enjoy their favorite music even outside the main summertime scheduling of  ARTmania Festival. The first edition of ARTmania Evenings was held in 2021, in Bucharest’s Club Quantic, between June 23rd and 25th. Fans were able to enjoy 3 days of concerts, the music of some of the local scene’s most appreciated bands, games and other activities, all wrapped up in a bite-sized mini-event reminiscent of the main festival in Sibiu.
